Door Inner Trim Panel

Front Door

Prise out the plastic cap in the pull-handle area and remove the screw under it. Take out the visible screws along the lower edge of the trim. Work around the panel with a flat, blunt tool and free the clips between the trim and the door skin. Once every stud is released, lift the panel away.

Pull the outer cable from the bracket on the interior release handle and unhook the inner cable end. Note the loom routes, then unplug the window, mirror and any other switches as the panel comes free.

If you need the weathershield, cut carefully through the sealant with a sharp blade and peel the sheet back. Full removal usually means the door speaker comes out first. Damaged shield or broken trim clips get renewed before the panel goes back.

Rear Door

Same idea: cap and screw at the pull handle, the visible screw or screws on the lower edge, then the clips around the perimeter. Manual-window cars: push the washer away from the winder handle and push out the retaining clip so the handle comes off. Free the release-handle cable and unplug any switches the same way as the front.

Refitting

Check every clip. Seal the weathershield back into its original line if you disturbed it. Hook the release cable, plug the switches, seat the panel on the studs, and finish with the visible screws and the pull-handle cap.
