Exterior Light Units
Headlamp with bumper off, fog from below, saloon and estate rear clusters, number plate lamp, and high-level stop. Aim detail is A-311.
Headlamp
Xenon cars: battery negative off before you start. Front bumper off. Undo the headlamp bolts, unplug the loom, and free the washer hose if the car has headlamp wash. Offer the unit up, snug the bolts, check the gap to bonnet and bumper, then tighten. Beam aim: optical kit preferred; adjuster screws sit on top of the unit, and the facia levelling switch must be at the off (zero) position while you set it. Full alignment notes are under A-311.
Xenon ballast: headlamp out, main-beam rear cap off, unplug, three screws, ballast off.
Side Repeater And Front Fog
Wing repeater: same push-forward, pull-rear path as the bulb job, then unplug. Mirror repeater: mirror cover off, clip back, lift the lamp out.
Front fog: front raised, radiator splash shield off, unplug, screws out, lamp out. Aim screw is reached from underneath through the shield opening.
Rear Cluster
Saloon: boot floor and side carpet clear, unplug the bulbholder board, three nuts, cluster off.
Estate: luggage side trim off, unplug, sponge packing out, four nuts, three clips, cluster off.
Number plate lamp: push toward the slotted end to compress the spring, lever the unit out, unplug.
High-Level Stop
Saloon: the LED strip needs the headlining down (pillar trims, courtesy lamps, grab handles). Two screws hold the lamp once the lining is clear. An assistant helps on refit.
Estate: upper tailgate trim inwards off the clips (Jaguar often wants that trim renewed after removal), five nuts for the spoiler, unplug the lamp and washer hose, then free the high-level lamp from the spoiler.
