Front brake discs and pads by variant

Disc diameters differ. The wrong pad is a common counter error. Table by engine and date.

The 3.0 and some 2.5 cars use a larger front disc than the 2.0 petrol and the diesels. The hat height differs as well as the diameter. A mixed axle will pull and the ABS ring will not sit true.

Order by VIN. If the counter hands you a “Jaguar X-Type front disc” without an engine, send it back. Pad shape follows the caliper; a two-piston and a single-piston pad are not cousins.
