Folding mirrors on the key — cars without seat memory
A five-pin relay and two extra wires so the mirrors fold on the second lock press. Will not work on memory-seat cars.
Warning: this only works on cars without seat memory.
Parts: one 5-pin 12 V relay (87, 87a, 86, 30, 85) and about three metres of 0.50–0.75 mm² cable.
- Earth pins 30 and 85.
- Behind the cabin fuse box, find the brown / red / black / blue / white bundle that feeds the factory fold relay.
- Take a feed from the red wire in that bundle to pin 87.
- Drop the passenger under-dash panel. Five connectors enter a module. On the first connector from the left, top row, fourth wire — it should be black/yellow — take that to pin 86.
- Tie the extra cables so they cannot snag a foot.
Two presses on lock folds the mirrors. Unlock opens them.
