Parking Distance Control
Ultrasonic bumper sensors, cabin beeps that go solid under 20 cm, module in the spare well, sensors out with the bumper.
How It Behaves
Where fitted, ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers measure distance to the nearest object while you reverse or ease forward. The cabin tone speeds up as you close in and becomes continuous below about 20 cm.
Control Module
The parking module sits in the spare-wheel well. Full-size spare and any well cover out, note the plug positions, unplug, fasteners out, module out. Refit is the reverse.
Sensors
Bumper off. Unplug each sensor, release its clips, pull it from the bumper. Seat the new sensor fully in the clip before the bumper goes back on.
